Shadow matching activities help kids develop recognition skills. Object-shadow matching, which is a type of matching studies, aims to group two objects with the same frame and different appearances by matching them. By about 18 months, children can manage to match objects that are similar in appearance. After this process, in order to support mental development, matching exercises should be done either in the form of a shadow object, the same object with different colors, or establishing a relationship between objects.
While mental development is supported with this activity; matching skills, attention, concentration, and fine motor skills, and small muscles also develop. What is left for you is the entertainment part. You can print these worksheets out and easily apply them with your kids. They are good for ages 5 to 8.
